Don't Make That First Mistake
Imagine that frustrating place, you just can’t stand being
there and you need to get out. In the
novel, The Maze Runner, by James
Dashner, young adults are put into the situation of life or death and overcome
fears and challenges that face us in life.
Dasher proved to readers that there are many challenges to face in life,
and you need to approach those with great hopes of passing them.
A maze is a frequent connection in this book. Many believe that life is a maze. If you make one wrong move your life could be
botched forever. Plenty of teenagers
each day screw up their life with that one wrong decision. Most people don’t just go on a maze by
themselves; pick friends to go with them.
Friends are one of your most important aspects of life and choosing the
good friend over the bad friend is crucial in life. When you chose wisely you will always get
rewarded.
When you are rewarded you can become know for such as
Jacques Marquette and Louis Jolliet.
These two chose wisely and decided to lead a journey down the
Mississippi in the 1600’s. Their trip
was a maze, if they made one wrong move they could end up down a waterfall or
down a dead end of a river. As first
time explorers such as, Thomas, the main character also was in the maze trying
to get out but if he made on incorrect move he could be killed. Same with Marquette and Juliet while they
were moving down the Mississippi.
The Hunger Games
also includes a maze type feeling because if you make a stupid decision you may
also need to backtrack. Dashner
communicated with readers that you don’t want to end up in the situation that
the characters were in. Inside the novel
you were able to tell that one wrong move can change your life forever. Also in the short story, All Summer in a Day, there was a connection to being confined in a
small space for a lingering time. The
characters were showing emotion in the story and told readers that there is
always a way out.
While reading you can always learn new things such as cool
facts or life lessons. Readers learned a
lesson here that when you are in trouble there is always a solution or a way to
compromise. You will face challenges in
life; in the book, The Maze Runner,
you are able to believe that you can overcome any challenge you have in life.
